ROSSENDALE RADIO PLAN TO AIR A ONE HOUR CORONAVIRUS SLOT TO GIVE LOCAL RESIDENTS IMPORTANT NEWS, INFORMATION & UPDATES, ON HOW THE VIRUS IS SPREADING AND AFFECTING THE AREA
Rossendale Radio which airs on 104.7fm have announced that, from Monday 23rd March 2020, they will be hosting a ‘coronavirus’ slot, each morning from 10 a.m.
While the slot is simply named and advertised as ‘Coronavirus Slot’ the regular show could get a name change and be titled differently when they air the show, starting from tomorrow.
The aim of the show is to give residents of Bacup and Rossendale, news, information and updates on how the Coronavirus is affecting the area, businesses, organisations and people of the borough.
Rossendale Radio have staid that they plan to conduct interviews with local officials; such as medical professionals, community organisations and businesses, so that important news and information can be passed on to local people.
So far, Covid-19 is causing wide spread disruption across the country, as well as locally. Many local businesses have had to close their doors and are facing an uncertain future.
With this national crisis ever evolving and the situation requiring daily updates via a national press conference, Rossendale Radio believe that it’s important to keep the public up to date with the latest information and advice that is being given to the public each day; especially as this advice is changing on a day to day basis as the government try to tackle and gain control of the situation.
